Shire of York Local Government Elections Candidate Information Evening
6.00pm Thursday, 7 September 2017
Officers from the Western Australian Electoral Commission will be conducting an Information Session on Thursday 7 September 2017 in the York Lesser Hall at 6.00pm.
The information session has been designed to provide the necessary process arrangements for prospective candidates for the 2017 Council Election.
Your attendance at the session is voluntary and will not be seen as a commitment to stand.
The Election process has begun and advertisements calling for nominations will appear in local papers and the West Australian on Wednesday 30 August 2017 or near that date.
Nominations open Thursday 7 September 2017 and close 4.00pm 14 September 2017.
I encourage those people considering standing for the Council Election on 17 October 2017 to attend.
