CALL FOR EXPRESSIONS OF INTEREST CHRISTMAS DECORATIONS WORKING GROUP & YORK HONOURS REFERENCE GROUP
The Shire of York is calling for Expressions of Interest to join the Shire’s Christmas Decorations Working Group and the York Honours Reference Group.
At the Ordinary Council Meeting held in November 2017, Council adopted the Committee Booklet containing Terms of Reference for all active Shire of York Council Committees, Reference/Working Groups and external Committees requiring Council representation.
Council invites community representation on the following groups:
Christmas Decorations Working Group
To provide advice regarding the Shire's annual Christmas Decorations.
York Honours Reference Group
Formed to confer honour on York citizens i.e. awards, street naming etc. Currently meets annually to determine Australia Day Award recipients.
“It’s important for the community to provide input where needed and I encourage interested people to express their interest in joining these groups.” Cr Wallace said.
