SHIRE OF YORK PROPOSED CAT LOCAL LAW 2017
The Shire of York has resolved to make a local law SHIRE OF YORK CAT LOCAL LAW 2017.
Purpose of the local law: to provide the Council with measures in addition to those under the Cat Act 2011 to control the keeping of cats.
Effect of the local law:
Promote responsible cat ownership
Reduce the nuisance to the community caused by cats
Limit the damage to and loss of wildlife caused by cats
Obtaining documentation
A copy of the proposed local law may be inspected or obtained on the link below or at the Shire’s Administration Centre, 1 Joaquina Street, York, during business hours (8.30am – 4.30pm Monday – Friday).
Deadline for public comments
4:00pm (WST) Monday 4 September 2017.
