March Mini Fest - York Slam (Poetry Slam)

Past Event

The poetry slam rounds will take place in between the music acts on the Avon Park River Stage:

Round 1: 3.35pm
Round 2: 4.15pm
Round 3: 5.10pm

Slam contestants are given a microphone, a live audience and just two minutes to impress the judges with their ORIGINAL spoken word poetry.

Five random judges are picked from the audience. Poetry slammers get up to 2 minutes on the mic to impress the judges with their spoken word or poem. This can be read and must be original. After each 2 minute performance, judges hold up score cards using a 1-10 scale, with 10 being the highest.

Come along and sign up to slam your poem (or just support the folk brave enough to give it a go).
