The Shire of York is hosting two community Have Your Say Days on Thursday 26 May at 4.30pm and again on Friday 27 May at 12 noon. The sessions will run for two hours with the first hour providing an informal opportunity to review information and chat with officers about the featured projects and the second hour being a more formal, facilitated workshop focussing on the Avon Terrace and Central Business District Redevelopment.
All community members are invited to attend either of the sessions and we are seeking your input on the following projects:
Access & Inclusion
The Shire is looking to form an Access & Inclusion Working Group and we are seeking community input into the Terms of Reference for the group. The Working Group will provide valuable input with an access and inclusion focus to the Shire’s projects and activities.
Avon Terrace and Central Business District Redevelopment
We are in the very early stages of planning for a redevelopment of Avon Terrace and we would like your input. This is an opportunity to share your views on what works, what doesn’t, what you think should be included in the redevelopment project and how we can enhance and revitalise our town centre.
York Swimming Pool
Another project in the early planning stages with your input needed. In September 2021, Council resolved to focus on planning for a new swimming pool. What is important to you that the Shire considers when planning the new facility?
Community Engagement Framework
We have been reviewing our community engagement processes and we would love to hear your views on how best we can get messages to and receive messages from the community.
