SHIRE OF YORK FAREWELLS EXECUTIVE MANAGER

Ms Suzie Haslehurst, Executive Manager, Corporate & Community Services at the Shire of York has tendered her resignation to take up the role of Chief Executive Officer at the Shire of Toodyay.

Ms Haslehurst joined the Shire in October 2016 and during her time here has worked with staff and Council to significantly improve governance practices, financial and human resource management and to increase communication and engagement with the community.

“Its sad to see her go but on behalf of Council we wish her every success in her new position at the Shire of Toodyay.” Cr Smythe said.

Shire of York CEO, Chris Linnell has engaged an independent consultant to undertake a recruitment process to fill the role of Executive Manager, Corporate & Community Services.  It is anticipated that will take 3-5 months. 

“We wish Suzie the best both professionally and personally in her move as the Chief Executive Officer with the Shire of Toodyay. While we will miss her energy and passion for the York community – she has been an indispensable part of our team - we know she will continue to do well and achieve major milestones” said Mr Linnell.

 Ms Haslehurst’s last day in the office will be Friday 5 June. She will commence at Toodyay on 22 June 2020.
