The Shire of York is pleased to launch the 2024 Street Greening Pilot Program.

For several years the Shire has been engaged in a corella management program to reduce the impact of these invasive and highly damaging pest species. In accordance with Regulation 12(3) of the Local Government (Administration) Regulations 1996 notice is hereby given that the Audit & Risk Committee Meeting scheduled for Tuesday 5 December 2023 has been rescheduled.

The York Community Resource Centre will re-open under Shire management from Monday 27 November 2023.  

New fees and charges were adopted at the October 2023 Ordinary Meeting for the Shire CRC.

Our priority currently is to recruit and train staff, to re-open the facility and re-establish much needed services to our community. We are aware that the closure of this facility has impacted a wide range of York’s population and we are pleased to be able to step in and provide a solution.

In accordance with Regulation 19D of the Local Government (Administration) Regulations 1996 notice is hereby given that at its October 2023 Ordinary Meeting Council considered the minor review of the Strategic Community Plan and Corporate Business Plan and adopted both documents without amendment.
