York is open for business

Published on Tuesday, 26 May 2020 at 12:01:08 PM

This weekend saw an influx of visitors in and around town and with the further easing of the regional boundaries the expectation is that the upcoming public holiday weekend will be busy too.

Shire President Cr Denese Smythe says “Council wishes to acknowledge the efforts of York businesses to successfully adapt to the Phase 2 easing of restrictions by the WA Government.  Businesses have been innovative in their service offering and proactive in developing their COVID Safety Plans to ensure staff and customers’ safety is prioritised.  Anyone requiring support working through their COVID Safety Plan is welcome to contact the Shire for assistance”.

The Shire’s Business Survey has been completed by 27 local business owners so far.  The survey is open until 29 May for any businesses who have not yet had a chance to submit their information.  Your can access the survey here https://www.surveymonkey.com/r/yobus

The aim of the survey is to enable Council to gain insight into how this pandemic has impacted our business community and to inform the Shire’s Business Stimulus Grant Program which is currently in development.
