Street Greening Pilot Program

The Shire of York is pleased to launch the 2024 Street Greening Pilot Program.

This program has been established in response to the 2020 – 2030 Strategic Community Plan, Priority 4.2, ‘Enhance Streetscapes with a focus on trees’.

The Street Greening Pilot Program, will seek participants through an expression of interest process. Eligible participants will be supplied with a water-wise native tree, to plant on their street verge.

There will be a limited supply of trees for this pilot program. Expressions of interest will be considered on a first received basis.

The outcomes from this pilot program will be used to shape future street greening programs in the Shire of York.
