Outstanding Rates and Charges

Rates and charges are the responsibility of the current registered owner of a property. If you are unable to pay your rates and charges by one of the two options provided on your notice, you can make application to the Shire of York, to enter an agreement to make alternative payments.

Application to enter and Agreement to Pay Off Outstanding Rates and Charges 

Overdue accounts will be charged interest at a rate of 11% per annum, calculated daily.

If you are having difficulties paying your rates and charges, please contact the Shire of York Rates Officer on 9641 0509 or send an email to records@york.wa.gov.au.

Where no payment or alternative arrangement has been made, in accordance with the Shire of York Revenue Collection Policy F1.1, legal action to recover outstanding rates and charges may be taken. Costs associated with legal action are recoverable from the ratepayer and will be added to the account.
