Community Funding Outcomes

At the Ordinary Council Meeting in May, Council approved a total of $50,629 of cash and in-kind support in this round of community funding grants and sponsorship for the following groups and activities;

  • Wheatbelt Endurance Riders $1,000 - Assistance to deliver two equine endurance rides in the Talbot and Greenhills areas.                                                         
  • York Business Association $4,556 -  Assistance to promote York in its canola flowering season through community engagement and enhancement.
  • The York Christmas Festival $12,000 - Financial assistance to deliver the York Children and Christmas Festival.
  • York CRC $8,277 - Assistance to support a youth program, outdoor community cinema and the Shop Local campaign.
  • Gooder Judder Aboriginal Corporation $1,176 - Assistance to deliver three activities as part of a July School Holiday program.
  • York Pony Club $5,000 - Assistance to purchase show jumping equipment and trailer.
  • Veteran Car Club $3,000 - In kind support to deliver the 2018 York Motor Show.
  • York Arts & Events $3,000 - Assistance to include youth specific engagement as part of the 2018 York Festival program.
  • York Friendship Club $5,000 - Assistance to deliver the 2018 York Medieval Fayre.
  • York Croquet Club $6,300 - In kind support to seal a disabled car parking bay as part of the redevelopment works at the Croquet Club.
  • ECMMA York $1,320 - Assistance to purchase club mats and grading shirts for the 2018 interclub tournament.
