DRAFT REVISED LOCAL PLANNING POLICY: ADVERTISING SIGNAGE

 AVAILABLE FOR INSPECTION

Notice is hereby given that the Shire of York, has prepared the above-mentioned draft revised Local Planning Policy: Advertising Signage. The policy provides development standards and provisions for the placement and erection of advertisements within the Shire of York. 

 The objectives of the policy are to:

 Ensure that advertisements are appropriately sized and sited for their location;

  • Require advertisements to maintain and enhance the amenity of the immediate area, including areas of historical or environmental significance;
  • Discourage the ineffective, visually intrusive and proliferation of excessive advertisement; and
  • Provide guidelines for consistent decision making for advertisements on zoned or reserved land within the Shire of York.

A copy of the draft revised Local Planning Policy: Advertising Signage is available here and has been deposited at the Council office at 1 Joaquina Street, York and will be open for inspection during office hours up to the 12 September 2019.

Submissions on the draft revised Local Planning Policy: Advertising Signage can be lodged in writing with the undersigned on or before 19 September 2019 and should include the name of the submitter, contact details and details of the submission.
