An exciting opportunity exists for an enthusiastic Finance Officer – Rates & Debtors to join the finance team at the Shire of York.

 

The role involves:

 

  • Rates and property system management.
  • Debtor system management.
  • Rates and property modelling and billing.
  • Rates enquiries and issues.
  • End of year financial processing.
  • Monthly rates and debtors financial reconciling.
  • Support for budget preparation or review.
  • Liaise with relevant third parties e.g. Landgate & State Government Departments.
  • Debt collection process management.
  • Records management for position.
  • Assisting the Finance Manager with provision of audits & liaise with the external audit team as directed.
  • Balancing cashbook and daily receipting to bank general ledger.

 

Remuneration:

The salary for the position is offered in accordance with Level 4 of the Shire of York Inside Staff Collective Enterprise Agreement 2019 ($73,291 - $76,754). Placement within the range will be determined by the applicant’s age, skills and experience.

11.00% superannuation plus salary sacrificing option with matching Shire contribution up to 3.5%.
