Access and Inclusion Plan 

In June 2018, Council adopted the Shire of York's Access and Inclusion Plan. The plan identifies barriers to access and proposes solutions to ensure that everyone has equal access to services and facilities. The Plan will be reviewed annually by the Shire’s Access and Inclusion Advisory Committee.

Socially Inclusive Communities WA (SICWA) 

The Shire of York has been selected by the Department of Communities to participate in the Socially Inclusive Communities WA for 2019/20 which provides support to sports clubs and community groups by building capacity, increasing knowledge and developing skills to ensure that people with disability are valued and included within local activities.

From 1 February 2021, WA will gradually require all workers in risk assessed roles for registered NDIS providers to apply for an NDIS Check clearance. Click here for  more details on applying for an NDIS Check Clearance.
