2020 Shire of York Extraordinary Election

The Shire of York will be holding an extraordinary election on Friday 18 September 2020.

There is one (1) vacancy to be filled, which will expire October 2021.

The Shire of York extra ordinary election will be by ‘postal voting’ conducted by the WA Electoral Commission, there will be no ordinary voting.  On election day the polling place will only be open for the hand delivery of postal voting packages. 

Ms Sarah Fitzsimmons has been appointed as the Returning Officer by the Commission to oversee the election which includes taking candidate nominations and supervising the count on election night.

To be eligible to vote, please ensure your enrolment details are up to date with the WA Electoral Commission by 30 July 2020.

Owner Occupiers will also need to ensure the Shire has their current postal address.
