Avon Terrace will be closed next week to undertake the second stage of works to repair the collapsed culvert.
Stage two works:
- Monday 22 May – late afternoon both lanes of Avon Terrace entering and exiting Great Southern Hwy, along with the footpath will again be closed to traffic and pedestrian access.
- Tuesday 23 May - Works to reinstate the base of the culvert and install a new cover will commence.
- Friday 26 May - We anticipate re-opening Avon Terrace the afternoon of Friday 26 May at around 4pm.
Construction fencing will remain in place around the new works section on the footpath. Please take care and adhered to speed limits at the Avon Tce/Great Southern Hwy intersection until the final stage of works is complete.
One further road closure is anticipated in early June to reinstate the footpath. Thank you for your ongoing patience whilst we work to restore the culvert and footpath.
