Regional University Centre - OPEN DAY

Published on Tuesday, 6 December 2022 at 12:41:10 PM

Earlier this year Regional Development Australia (Wheatbelt) announced that York was to be a location for a Wheatbelt Regional University Centre.

The Centre will provide access to internet, computers, printers, video conferencing and more importantly, a student support person who will assist students with navigating university life, all at no cost to any university student.

The Lumen Regional University Centre (RUC) is sited at the York Community Resource Centre. An open day has been set for Thursday 15 December from 10am to 4pm. Higher education students or interested students are invited to drop in and see how the RUC can help you succeed in your studies.

The project has been developed by Regional Development Australia (Wheatbelt), who was successful in its application to the 2022 Regional University Centres (RUC) funding round.

The Shire of York supports the project with funding for operational costs.
