The popular PACK YOUR OWN PICNIC is happening again at Gather York, and make sure you drop into the Mill Emporium whilst you are there to get your CARICATURES done.

There are plenty of festival favourite FACEPAINTERS scatted around, along with INCREDIBLE CREATURES and BARNYARD BUDDIES plus LASERTAG, BRICKS FOR KIDS, SPRAY & STENCIL and INFLATABLES to fill the day.

The rambunctious JUNCADELIC funky street jazz performers will be tooting their horns and kids can join in the JUNCADELIC WORKSHOP in Peace Park on Saturday 3 June to make percussion instruments including drums, shakers, bells, clapping sticks and even reed horns from all types of junk!

On Sunday afternoon, parents can take a breather whilst kids join in a fun interactive dance and performance workshop LET’S DANCE, learning styles of dance from ballet to contemporary and how to stay healthy through movement.   This activity is for boys and girls aged 4 to about 12.

YORKids takes place each year over the weekend of the WA Day Public Holiday and is now in its fifth year.  Activities are based at a variety of locations around York including in Avon Park, Peace Park, Avon Terrace, the Mill Emporium, Settlers House, Gather York, York Town Hall and also various acts will be roving around the town.
