The Shire of York is seeking a motivated and community-minded Administration Officer to join our Governance & People team. This role is integral to supporting the day-to-day operations of the Shire while delivering exceptional service to our residents, stakeholders, and colleagues in a dynamic and rewarding environment. If not selected as the preferred candidate, you may also be considered for our casual pool.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide general administrative support, including daily banking, mail handling, customer service, front counter inquiries, and phone reception.
  • Assist with Department of Transport Licensing services.
  • Order stationery, office supplies, and refreshments for the Administration building.
  • Ensure compliance with the State Records Act 2000 by registering, archiving, and disposing of records in a timely and accurate manner, including capturing, distributing, filing, storing, retrieving, and disposing of documents.
  • Maintain file storage areas, ensuring they are clean, organised, and safe.
  • Assist Shire staff with locating files and records efficiently.
  • Provide records management training to Shire employees.

 

Remuneration:

The salary for the position is offered in accordance with Level 3 of the Shire of York Inside Staff Enterprise Agreement 2019 ($72,404.32 - $75,993.02) pro rata. Placement within the range will be determined by the applicant’s age, skills and experience.
