Nurse! Finding our Stories of the Old York Hospital

A new exhibition opens at the Residency Museum this January through to the end of March, celebrating York’s Old Hospital and the people connected to it.
Inspired by recently donated photographs and strong community interest, this exhibition brings together memories, images, and personal connections to a place that has touched many local lives.
Do you have memories of the Old Hospital—or stories passed down through your family? If so, this exhibition invites you to be part of it.
Visitors are encouraged to share their stories using red heart Post-it notes throughout the exhibition. On Fridays, you are also welcome to speak directly with the curator to share memories or information that may help grow the museum’s collection and deepen this shared history.
