PROPOSED SHIRE OF YORK CAT AMENDMENT LOCAL LAW 2018
The Shire of York has resolved to make a local law SHIRE OF YORK CAT AMENDMENT LOCAL LAW 2018.
Purpose of the local law: to provide the Council with measures in addition to those under the Cat Act 2011 to control the keeping of cats.
Effect of the local law:
- Promote responsible cat ownership
- Reduce the nuisance to the community caused by cats
- Limit the damage to and loss of wildlife caused by cats
Obtaining documentation: A copy of the proposed amendment local law may be inspected or obtained from the Shire’s website www.york.wa.gov.au or at the Shire’s Administration Centre, 1 Joaquina Street, York, during business hours (8.30am – 4.30pm Monday – Friday).
Deadline for public comments 4pm (WST) on Monday, 19 November 2018.
