Shire of York re-opens York CRC

The York Community Resource Centre will re-open under Shire management from Monday 27 November 2023.  Not all services will be available form day one, we appreciate your patience as we re-start. 

The facility will be open 5 days a week from Monday to Friday 9am to 2pm until Friday 22 December when it will close for the Christmas break.  The CRC will re-open on Tuesday 2 January 2024 and the hours will extend to 9am to 4pm.

Personnel

The new CRC team is being trained up to support the community service operations of the Shire, the Lumen Wheatbelt Regional University Centre and to provide customer services to all visitors, residents, and students of the Community Resource Centre with a focus on technology support.  

The team is:

  • Marcus Whelan, Community and Place Coordinator, who will be based at the CRC and will oversee the facility;
  • Lisa Astle, Community Development Officer, who will coordinate CRC, Lumen and Shire programs including youth, access & inclusion and senior’s programs, and;
  • Laura Appleton, Customer Service Officer, who will manage frontline services and assist in delivering CRC programs.

Services

CRC Services will include computer access; poster printing up to A1 size; function, boardroom and hot office hire; photocopying, binding and laminating. Secretarial and design services are discontinued.

Digital Information for Seniors - Learn how to connect with family and friends using Teams, Facetime and other tools.  FREE

Tuesday 5 Dec  10am - 12pm

Working for yourself as a Support Worker – key steps from initial start up, organizing your business and managing your customers information.  FREE

Thursday 7 Dec   6pm

York Business Association – Business After Hours Forum
