Companion Card 

The Shire of York is an affiliate of the Companion Card.  The Shire offers free entry to all Shire venues and Shire-run events to Companion Card Holders.

People with a disability, who require attendant care support, are often required to pay two admissions and/or booking fees; one for themselves and one for their companion. This has the effect of increasing the admission for the person with a disability and decreasing their social inclusion. The Companion Card allows the person to participate without having to pay for a second ticket for their companion.
