SHIRE OF YORK RE-BRANDING

The following design concepts are informed by the results from the recent Strategic Review which show that the top three
things that community members love about the area are:

Heritage -  country but near city, community feel
Unique history and heritage - encompasses buildings
Aboriginal and non-Aboriginal history, story telling etc

The community’s vision is to take pride of place as WA’s first inland town, with the stunning Avon River at its heart. It aspires to have a thriving economy based largely on tourism and agriculture. The natural environment replenishes the soul in quietude for some and adrenaline-racing adventure for others. The culture and history of the  Ballardong people is embraced as an integral part of life and the future.
