The Shire of York is inviting Expressions of Interest from community members who would like to be involved in planning the York Aquatic Centre Project.
The Advisory Group will provide strategic advice, subject-matter expertise, and stakeholder insight to support the planning, design, and delivery of the York Aquatic Facility Project.
We’re looking for five community members with skills and expertise in the following areas:
- A member representing the York Swimming Club
- A member who has skills and experience in structured swimming education programs
- A member who has accessibility and inclusion expertise
- A member who has expertise in youth recreation and social development, and
- A member representing the older recreational user.
What’s involved?
Being part of the group will include:
- Offering advice on project issues, risks, and opportunities
- Providing feedback on project updates and documents
- Supporting clear communication between project teams and stakeholders
- Sharing views that can help inform project decisions
Meetings will be held on a regular basis, and the members are encouraged to participate actively and share their perspectives.

- What experience, skills or perspective you can bring to the group.
